I’m Heather Horn: Jesus-loving wife, mama, and Western lifestyle photographer in Sheridan, Montana. From the mountains to the ranch lands, I’m here to capture the authentic spirit of Southwestern Montana.

Finding the extraordinary in ranch life, mountain skies, and the everyday beauty God has placed around us.

I grew up in Western Kentucky with my parents and twin brother, where I first fell in love with rural life on my grandfather’s small cattle farm. At 17, after years of begging, I finally bought my first horse; a dream come true that shaped the rest of my story. I started training my first horses, Angel and Sally, for barrel racing (though we were never the fastest team, we sure had fun). After a couple of years in university, I left to chase a different kind of education: working full-time as a ranch hand and colt trainer. In 2020, I adopted my wild mustang-and heart horse-Outlawed Critter, who has been a faithful partner ever since.
In October 2023, I packed up for the Big Hole Valley to work as a full-time ranch hand. Just a couple of months later, I met my husband, and by spring we made our home in Sheridan, Montana. We married that fall, and soon after learned we were expecting our daughter, Harper. In May 2025, I launched Caught By The Horn Photography; a creative outlet that allows me to stay home, raise my baby, and ride my Outlawed Critter. Thank you for supporting this dream. I can't wait to work with you and bring your Western dreams to print.
